Come explore the Chesapeake Bay's fifth largest tributary! John Gresham, an Education Specialist from York River State Park and a life-long resident of the area, will throw light on this amazing ecosystem. The York River features a diverse array of communities, from aquatic grass beds to tidal marshes to a variety of woodlands, each of which contains a unique assemblage of plants and animals. Participants will investigate the natural and human history of the river, as well as the fish, reptiles, birds, mammals, and plants that call it home.
