Reserve space on one of our behind-the-scenes tours to learn more about the local and global impact of research being done at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS).

These 90-minute guided tours are designed for adults and older children (10 and up welcome and must be accompanied by a guardian; tour is not appropriate for younger children).

All tours include a guided interpretation of VIMS’ Visitor Center — including an opportunity to view our gag grouper, catsharks, oyster toadfish and more — and a visit to two research laboratories/facilities.

** Please note that all individuals in your party must register individually using the link below (each registration reserves one spot). Advance registration is required - walk-ups will not be permitted to join the tour unless there is space available. **
