Come join us for a paddle on Powhatan Creek with marine-life experts from William and Mary's Virginia Institute of Marine Science and Chesapeake Experience, a local provider of hands-on, educational experiences. The quiet, picturesque creek, which flows into the James River and Chesapeake Bay near historic Jamestowne, is home to beautiful bald cypress trees, a wealth of marine life, and a wide variety of birds.

Chesapeake Experience--founded by Jill Bieri, who received her Master's degree from the W&M's School of Marine Science at VIMS in 1992--will provide all gear, including kayaks, paddles, and life vests.

The fee for the trip is a $45 per person; to register and pay online, visit the {{http://www.chesapeakeexperience.org,Chesapeake Experience website.}}
