VIMS - Catlett-Burruss Research and Education Lab
Technology is a critical part of scientific exploration and experimentation. In marine ecosystems, scientists use a variety of technological tools every day to advance our knowledge of the chemistry, physics, and biology of our ocean. This lab will include displays of different kinds of technologies used by scientists at VIMS and around the world, along with hands-on experience using some of these tools. VIMS Ph.D. student Lydia Bienlien will share how VIMS students and faculty are using drone technology in their studies of harmful algal blooms and other events in the Bay!

Registration is now open! Register now.
