David Dominique is a composer, performer, band leader, and Assistant Professor of Music at William & Mary. Dominique has been the recipient of numerous awards, fellowships, and residencies including support from the Mellon Foundation, the American Music Center, MacDowell Colony, and the Djerassi Resident Artist Program. His compositions for jazz octet have been widely praised in publications including the Boston Globe, LA Weekly, NewMusicBox, The Examiner, and Downbeat magazine. This performance will be the first of a seven-city fall tour in support of Dominique?s new album of original compositions, ?Mask? (October 2018, Orenda Records).
Victor Haskins is a world-class improviser, cornetist, and electronic wind instrumentalist. In addition to teaching at William & Mary and being a teaching artist for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, he performs and presents nationally and internationally. Haskins is an artist for Denis Wick mouthpieces/mutes and Eclipse Trumpets.
