The American Diabetes foundation is going to do a presentation for the Medical and Health Outreach Club on November 14th on what diabetes is, the different types, it's affect on college-aged students (especially those being away from home for the first time), food choices, health tips to stave off diabetes, how those who have diabetes should be mindful of, signs and symptoms of people who are going into diabetic distress, healthy snacks, eating habits, exercise, etc. A professional with Type 1 diabetes will also be visiting.
