Cristie Lucas is the Director of Brand + Talent for Veris Consulting, Inc., an accounting consulting firm headquartered in the Washington DC region. Veris provides forensic accounting and litigation support consulting services in highly complex accounting litigation matters to an international client base.


Cristie graduated with a BBA in Accounting from William & Mary in 1999. She began her career in audit and earned her CPA before transitioning to the consulting side of accounting. Cristie has over 20 years of experience with Veris and their previously related firms, Vault Consulting and Johnson Lambert & Co. Her responsibilities at these firms have included operations in the areas of employer branding, hiring, university relations, onboarding efforts and the firms’ college recruiting programs.


Cristie is a Past President of the Virginia Association of Colleges & Employers (VACE) and a current member of William & Mary’s Career Services Employer Advisory Board and University of Richmond’s Q-Camp Advisory Council. She is a past participant of several employer advisory, accounting and business school-related boards and employer forums at schools like the University of Richmond, JMU, UVA and Virginia Tech.


Cristie is a frequent speaker on Employer Advisory Boards, Externships and Experiential Learning, Ambassadorship on Campus and Generational Differences in the Workplace, Career Options for Accounting Students and several other student career search-related topics. She is a recipient of the VACE A. Isabel Gordon Distinguished Service Award, the VACE John L. Chase Meritorious Service Award and the VACE Leadership Award for contributions in her field.



She is a great resource for students looking to transition into the workplace or who are in the job search.
