Learn more about William & Mary’s Highland, the home of a president’s family and generations of enslaved individuals. The site is undergoing a necessary re-interpretation with vital input from its Descendant Advisory Council. Members of the Council recently connected with a dedicated group of W&M students after learning about a petition opposing the university’s funding for Highland. These students are now part of Highland's multi-vocal dialog that focuses on patience, honesty, and inclusivity and offers a productive model for other institutions addressing painful histories. Join us for a Zoom webinar to hear more from these voices and discover Highland’s crucial role as William & Mary reckons with its past and works collaboratively towards the future.
