[PAST EVENT] Virtual Career Chat: Lynn Wingard '79, U.S. Geological Survey

The week of January 18, the Cohen Career Center will be offering virtual Career Chats with alumni and parents of William & Mary students. These will be one hour sessions with the professional speaking for about 30 minutes and then about 30 minutes of Q&A.

Lynn has been a Research Geologist with the U.S. Geological Survey since 1991. She received her bachelor’s in geology from William & Mary, and her master’s and doctoral degrees in geology from George Washington University. She began working at the USGS in 1983 as a Physical Science Technician while in graduate school. Her research in conservation paleobiology and applied paleoecology is used by resource management agencies and decision-makers to set targets for environmental restoration.
