In the tradition of medical school journal clubs, Health Policy Journal Club is a new undergraduate student group that will meet weekly throughout the Spring 2021 semester to discuss scholarly research studies pertaining to health policy. Membership is open to undergraduates who are interested in close reading and analysis of quantitative health policy research methods and findings. The club is convened by Professor Mellor and sponsored by the Schroeder Center for Health Policy. Meetings in Spring 2021 are held on Zoom on most Mondays from 5-6 pm. There will be about 9-10 meetings in all. Ideally, members would attend at least 6 of the meetings in total, and lead or co-lead discussion on a paper of their choosing once.
Interested students should attend a kickoff meeting on Monday Feb 1 at 5 pm, where we will decide a theme or themes for the spring readings and talk about how the club will function.
