[PAST EVENT] Community Forum in Women's Studies

The W&M Women's Studies program proudly presents the First Community Forum in Women's Studies, with Avalon: A Center for Women and Children and the Soroptimists of Williamsburg.
Project S.A.V.E.D. (Students Against Violent and Emotionally Abusive Dating) is a partnership between the Soroptimists of Williamsburg and Avalon and its Youth Council to work with teens and parents in the area to raise awareness of teen dating violence and strategies to help teens caught in violent dating relationships. According to the CDC, nearly 1.5 million high school students nationwide experience physical abuse from a dating partner in a single year.
Come and learn about ways you can help with Project S.A.V.E.D.! Pizza and drinks will be served and everyone is welcome.
