Gloucester Point, VA 23062Map this location
Sound producing organisms - including drum, croaker, and snapping shrimp - are everywhere in the Bay. VIMS graduate student Alison Deary will explore how these organisms make sound, and why! The lab will have live animals to observe (and maybe hear), a guessing game on who makes what noise, information displays, and kids' activities.

These family-friendly labs are provided by the Chesapeake Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve at VIMS. There is no charge; however, {{https://forms.wm.edu/2173,registration is required}} due to limited space. Call 804-684-7878 for additional information.
