Join VIMS at the 67th annual Urbanna Oyster Festival! The festival features free admission, food and drink for purchase (including lots of seafoods and oysters), an oyster shucking contest, fireman's and festival parades, live music, an antique car show, informational exhibits from growers and nonprofit organizations, festival Queen and Little Miss Spat competitions, and wine and craft beer tastings.

 VIMS' exhibit will focus on our historically critical role in supporting Virginia's shellfish industries, genetics and breeding programs, research into diseases and environmental issues affecting oysters now and in the future, family-friendly activities, preserved animals, and more!
