Walk Across Campus

This ceremony is for all graduating students ONLY. Students will complete the traditional Walk Across Campus, from the Wren Building, across the Crim Dell Bridge, to Zable Stadium. 

  • 4:30 p.m. — Gates to Zable Stadium open for guests (tickets required)
  • 4:30 p.m. — Students gather at Wren Building to begin the Walk Across Campus
  • 5:00 p.m. — Walk Across Campus begins (leaving from Wren Building)
  • 5:15-5:30 — Students finish the walk and are directed to line up locations (Sadler Terrace)
  • 5:30 p.m. — Candidates for degrees line up and head into the Stadium
  • 5:35 p.m. — All guests are asked to be seated
  • 6:00 p.m. — Academic procession begins (degree candidates, faculty, and official party enter)
  • Approx. 8:00 p.m. — Ceremony ends

**In case of bad weather, the Ceremony will be held indoors at Kaplan Arena. Students will be notified via the Commencement Website and the W&M App!
