Powhatan Creek - trip leave from EcoDiscovery Park

Come join us for a paddle on Powhatan Creek with marine-life experts from W&M's Virginia Institute of Marine Science and from Chesapeake Experience, a local provider of hands-on educational experiences. The quiet, picturesque creek, which flows into the James River and Chesapeake Bay near historic Jamestowne, is home to beautiful bald cypress trees, a wealth of marine life, and a wide variety of birds. Chesapeake Experience - founded by Jill Bieri, who received her Master's degree from the College of William & Mary's School of Marine Science at VIMS in 1992, will provide all gear - including kayak, paddles, and life vests.
