If you are majoring in one of the sciences or interested in doing so, what sorts of things do you need to do to develop your scientific talent during the college years? We will discuss talent development in the sciences based on Prof. Harbron's perspective, which she has developed over more than 10 years of observing W&M science majors in the classroom, teaching labs and research labs. It's not just about the classes or even getting into a research lab! We will talk about some of the not-so-obvious issues like developing scientific self-confidence and finding a field that suits your personality.
