In celebration of Confucius Institute Day, WMCI volunteer teacher and award-winning soloist Feng Wang will be performing an accompanied concert with an erhu, a traditional Chinese two-stringed instrument. With over two thousand years of history and culture in China, the violin-like erhu has the shape of a mallet with a long vertical neck that stretches two strings tight, and the instrument is used for its unique sound in modern, classical, and popular music ensembles. The show will take place on September 26, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Ewell Recital Hall. The performance will be free and open to the public.
