The annual Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing is an event with approximately 12,000 women in Computer Science participating. It features speakers such as Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook; Hilary Mason, Founder, Fast Forward Labs; and Clara Shih, CEO & Founder, Hearsay Social.

The GHC also includes a Career Fair with organizations hiring for internships and full positions.

The main focus for the GHC is to demonstrate that women are very successful in CS, that they have an increasing impact in this field, and their achievements are impressive and should be recognized more. Employers have a huge demand for Computer Scientists and they attend GHC for outreach and hiring.

Hear from W&M undergraduate and graduate Computer Science students who attended the GHC in Houston, Texas, last month.

They will share their experience, and take aways from the conference and discuss plans on what to do for the conference next year.

For information on the GHC, go to: {{http://ghc.anitaborg.org}}

Pizza and sodas will be served.
