Location
Kimball Theatre
Calling all townies and TWAMPS to the Fall Launch Event of the W&M Global Film Festival. On November 20, the GFF will kick off its programming theme of "Film & Community" with a double feature screening of two films that are designed to bring Williamsburg's local tribes together for a fun night of film, music and community.

The event begins at 5PM at the Kimball Theatre with
a community sing-a-long screening of the 1961 classic West Side Story led by the William & Mary Spotlight Show Choir.

Then join the gang in the Kimball Lobby for a Buzoku Shukai (tribal gathering) Japanese themed reception featuring complimentary food and drink. That party will prime the crowd for our second feature at 9PM: Japanese cult film auteur Sion Sono's TokyoTribe, a hip-hop/samurai/martial-arts/kitsch-pomo-pinku-style reimagining of the gang fight musical.

Don't miss a revival screening of our very own community musical homage to WSS: Southeast Side Story, an epic Kimball Theatre movie-musical throwdown between Williamsburg's Twamps and Townies.

Students can purchase tickets for one film for $4 or both films for $6.

General admission for one film is $5 or both films for $8.
