Steven Combs, Deputy Commissioner of the Virginia Department of Veterans Services, will speak to William & Mary students about his work for the Department. His talk is entitled, "Caring for Those Who Have Borne the Battle -- An Informal Discussion of Veterans Health Policy at the State Level." This event is sponsored by the Schroeder Center for Health Policy.

Deputy Commissioner Combs received an MBA and MPP from William & Mary. In 2004, he became the Director of Policy & Planning for the Virginia Department of Veterans Services, where he led the Department's budget and legislative development initiatives. In 2015, he became the Department's Deputy Commissioner, where his responsibilities include supporting the Commissioner and the Department's more than 700 employees.  For more information on Deputy Commissioner Combs, please click here.
