Our symposium, Islamic Law: A Partner in the Fight Against Violent Extremism & Islamophobia, explores Islamic Law on jihad and violence, Counter Violent Extremism efforts and strategies, and the rise of Islamophobia in the United States and abroad.

Professor Adnan Zulfiqar from UPenn Law, Marlene Sallo from the DOJ/DHS Countering Violent Extremism Task Force, Patrick Eddington from CATO Institute, Professor Sadiq Reza from New York Law School and Hoda Hawa from Muslim Public Affairs Council will give individual presentations in the morning and engage in a moderated panel discussion in the afternoon.
