Professor Antonios Augoustakis, from  the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign presents Death and Ritual in Statius’ Silvae
In this presentation Prof. Augoustakis examines the role of lament in Statius’ lyric poems, the Silvae (late 1st century CE).

Join the W&M Bray School Lab each month in our continuing series on Zoom: Bray School Stories: Finding the Bray School Students. 

The purpose of this weekly, free counseling group is to provide a safe space for Asian students to explore issues of mental health as it intersects with racial/ethnic identity, while fostering community, empowerment, & resilience. 

The Hart Gallery's exhibition "Figuring Out" will be opening Tuesday, 2/13 with a reception 6-8 pm. This exhibition presents artworks by W&M students, focused on the human figure. The show will run through 3/8, open during Sadler building hours.

Twenty-five works by English collage artist Clive Knights will be on view in the Daily Grind from February 9 through May 18. 

Let's read and discuss the book Trauma-Informed Pedagogies: A Guide for Responding to Crisis and Inequality in Higher Education. We will meet on Tuesdays in February (2/6, 2/13, 2/20, and 2/27) from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. 

At the Writing and Communication Center, trained peer consultants offer individual assistance with writing, presentation, and other communication assignments across disciplines and at any stage, from generating ideas to polishing a final product. 

This group is for any W&M student who wishes to learn physical self-defense techniques from a licensed SASS Go instructor, as well as learn about the emotional benefits feelings of safety provide.
