Dr. A Carly Buxton speaks on the history of Japanese-American citizens who weathered the years of WWII and Occupation on Japanese soil, as explored in her 2022 monograph, Unthinking Collaboration: American Nisei in Transwar Japan (University of Hawaii Press). More theoretically, she will also discuss how findings from neuroscience and social psychology must influence our methodology as historians. Made possible by the generous support of the Reves Distinguished Lecture Series. Open to the public.
