[PAST EVENT] Introduction to Observational Drawing Two-Day Workshop
Access & Features
- Registration/RSVP
- Ticketed event
Have you ever visited an art museum and wondered why there are so many pictures of fruit, flowers, dead game, or books sitting on tables or nestled in baskets? The tradition of “still life” spans the history of art and across cultures. Join us for two evenings in February to learn the basics of observational drawing using charcoal and pencil. Participants will learn about creating a range of values, simplifying shapes, measurement systems, and positive and negative space to create their image. All materials provided; all skill levels welcome.
