Interfaith Harmony Week is a way to promote harmony between all people regardless of their faith, recognize the imperative need for dialogue among different faiths and religions, and to enhance mutual understanding, harmony and cooperation among people in order to live in a peacful and sustainable world.

On Monday, March 25th we will be hosting Interfaith Speaker Seyyed Hossein Nasr. Seyyed Hossein Nasr is university professor of Islamic Studies at George Washington University. Author of over fifty books, Professor Nasr is a well-known and highly respected intellectual figure both in the West and in the Islamic world. He is a HUGE deal in the interfaith world and has led the Muslim community to interfaith summits at the Vatican City. Born in Tehran, raised from the age of twelve in the United States, and a graduate of MIT and Harvard University, Nasr has been one of the foremost leaders in the field of interfaith dialogue for the past 50 years, regularly meeting with Christian (Orthodox, Catholic, and Protestant), Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu, Confucian, Taoist, and Indigenous spiritual and political leaders and intellectuals as well as secular scholars and philosophers to promote understanding and dialogue across religious and civilizational borders. He appears frequently on Meet the Press, as well as other national news shows.

On Tuesday, March 26th we will have an interfaith social with religious studies professors and students from different faiths and backgrounds. All are welcome to attend this event at the Wesley House and food and drinks will be provided.
