Ospreys--the only birds of prey that subsist almost exclusively on a diet of live fish--are one of the most visible symbols of Chesapeake Bay, and one of the best indicators of estuary health. Join Dr. Bryan Watts, Director of the Center for Conservation Biology, as he explores the recovery and ecology of this magnificent species. The talk will include information about the Center's Project Osprey Watch and osprey-banding research.
Watts' presentation is the April installment of the 2013 After Hours Lecture Series at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science.
