[PAST EVENT] Focus ON: The Goldwater Scholarship
October 30, 2014
5pm
The Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship is a premier STEM-based scholarship for sophomores and juniors interested in pursuing either a Ph.D. or M.D.-Ph.D. Successful applicants have demonstrated a history of independent research--although it is not required. The scholarship comes with an up-to $7,500 prize and is a huge resume booster. Those students interested in applying should register to attend the upcoming Peer Scholarship Advisor FocusOn on Thursday, October 30th at 5pm in the Swem Open Classroom.
The session will provide detailed information on the scholarship benefits and requirements, as well as a discussion of how to tackle the diversity question on the application, updates on the College's past Scholars, and a Q&A with W&M's most recent Goldwater winner.
Pizza will be provided!
