April 20, 2016
7pm
Alma Mater Productions and the Student Assembly of William & Mary are proud to welcome award-winning filmmaker Spike Lee as he speaks on campus on April 20, 2016. In his decades-long career, Lee and his films have been nominated for countless awards. In 2016, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences awarded Lee with an honorary Oscar at the 88th Academy Awards. In addition to his work as a director, writer, producer and actor, Lee has been outspoken on issues of race, particularly in relation to the media and in Hollywood.
