Are you interested in biomedical research? Learn about the VCU Biomedical Ph.D. and M.D./Ph.D. graduate programs, as well as undergraduate summer research opportunities. Dr. Lou DeFelice, Vice-Chairman, will also highlight his research: A neuroscientist's look at drugs, how they work and why they are harmful. The drug combination known as baths salts contains synthetic cathinones, and research in physiology and biophysics reveals why bath salts are so powerful and dangerous.
