On Friday, Nov. 22, the William & Mary Global Film Festival will launch its 2014 theme, "Journeys and Passages," with a double feature from Chilean director Sebastian Silva and starring Michael Cera. The first feature is psychological horror film Magic, Magic, starting at 6 p.m. in the Kimball Theatre. In between the two films, a reception with food and drink will be held in the Kimball lobby. The second film, starting at 8:30 p.m., is Crystal Fairy and the Magical Cactus, a road trip comedy that won the Directing Award at Sundance. Stick around for live music and food at the Crust Beer & Tequila Lounge after Crystal Fairy. Special guests TBA.
