Apply for the Fall 2015 Critchfield Scholarship for study abroad. Contact the Global Education Office at the Reves Center for International Studies for more information.
Scholarships are for study abroad programs in the area from Egypt eastward, including the Levant, the Arabian Peninsula and the Gulf. Programs must be at least four weeks in duration.
Awards typically range up to $2000 depending on the applicant's financial need and are made possible by the James H. Critchfield Memorial Endowment for Middle Eastern Studies. In some cases, grants will be awarded to students participating in credit-bearing projects, such as service learning, independent research, etc.
All applicants must have completed at least one year of Arabic language study. Recipients must fulfill the conditions specified in the Program Application Page (during the following phases: predecision, post-decision, while abroad, returnee), which include submitting a two-page report upon completion of their programs and devoting several hours of volunteer work at the Reves Center.
