With Professors Monica Griffin, Laura Heymann and Vern Lindquist, first generation college students who are now college professors! If you did not grow up in a family culture where attending college was the norm, college can be a daunting experience. How can first generation college students best enjoy their college experience and be successful? What is the best way for first generation college students to help family and friends from back home relate to college experiences? What should professors, parents and others know in order to lend support instead of adding to the pressure as first generation students strive to achieve their goals? If you have had any of these questions as a first generation college student or as someone who wants to support one, join!
