George Ciccariello-Maher will lead the workshop on "Necropolitics and Decoloniality"  for students and faculty. Prof. Ciccariello-Maher is the Visiting Scholar of Decolonizing Humanities in the Decolonizing Humanities Project at William & Mary. The workshop will have read Achille Mbembe's seminal Necropolitics and think about ways the theory intersects with higher education, governance, and political society. While this workshop is nested in the Decolonizing Humanities faculty, AMES, and APIA, we welcome interest from the faculty and the graduate and undergraduate student body at large.

Registration is required as space is limited. Therefore, we ask that you contact the Director of Decolonizing Humanities, Professor Stephen Sheehi, to reserve a space in the workshop.
