You’ll find Sakura (cherry blossoms) in anime, manga, haikus, and more. Discover the significance of Sakura in Japanese literature during a virtual lecture with Dr. Makoto Aoki, Assistant Professor at Ehime University in Japan. Dr. Aoki will also use anime and haiku to discuss mujo (impermanence or transience) and mono no aware (the pathos of things), concepts to understand traditional Japanese interaction of life and nature and esthetic in life.
