Lamar Banister has been featured on PBS, CBS and A&E TV. Playing a wide variety of 15+ instruments (some vintage, some personally crafted), Banister will demonstrate through fascinating stories and tunes Virginia’s remarkable musical legacy up to the 1960s. You will view pictures of early music entertainers as Lamar transitions from Pre-History, through the Colonial period to Sea Chanteys, Spirituals, Country, Western, Folk and Blues.
