Brazilian singer/guitarist Marcelo Fruet will play for the first time at W&M, after playing in Austin, at SXSW, Fruet and his band Os Cozinheiros will play at Ewell Recital Hall this Sunday, March 24. Fruet & Os Cozinheiros' latest album, Aion, blends gorgeous Tropicalia melodies and subtle folk nuances with shades of bossa nova, samba, and other regionally specific influences to create a rock sound that is singular in its marriage of modern textures and traditional Brazilian musical inflections.
