[PAST EVENT] WMCI Martial Arts Performance
September 11, 2014
6:30pm - 8:30pm
Do you enjoy watching movies starring Jackie Chan? How about Bruce Lee? Jet Li? Would you like to see Kung Fu masters in real life? WMCI has the special opportunity to host four Kung Fu masters who have been learning Shaolin Kung Fu from an early age. The masters have even performed on Broadway with their amazing show, Soul of Shaolin. Shaolin Kung Fu is the most famous form of martial arts as it can be considered the most comprehensive and original form, mixing martial arts with Zen Buddhism. Shaolin Kung Fu uses Qigong techniques, which the masters will show off. The nine techniques include Eight Silk Movements, Drunk Boxing, sword play, breaking steel with the head, and breaking glass with a needle. A reception in the Dodge Room will take place at 6:30 pm before the show with mooncakes and fruit kebabs. The hour-long show starts at 7:30 pm. This event is free and open to the public!
