Wondering what Pepero Day is about?
Pepero Day is the South Korean version of Valentine's day but not really... It is named after the Korean snack Pepero and held on November 11, since the date 11/11 resembles four sticks of Pepero (a chocolate covered stick). It is one of the biggest celebrations in Korea among young people and couples, who spend the day exchanging Pepero sticks, other candies, and gifts. To share a joy of this cultural celebration, I plan to have pretzel sticks, marshmallows, chocolate dipping sauces (milk, white, and dark & mint), and nuts! Please drop by anytime between 5-7pm and make/decorate your own peperos for yourself, your friends, or your significant other and have fun!
