[PAST EVENT] Application Deadline for Somos (Student Organization for Medical Outreach and Sustainability)

SOMOS is searching for committed students of all majors who are interested in joining a long-term, quantitative research-grounded, community health partnership with a community in the Dominican Republic.
The project involves a biweekly academic seminar, a week-long trip during winter break, and opportunities for research and travel during the summer.
Students seeking experience in technological skills such as the use of GIS, GPS, and statistical analysis software, as well as web design and information management, and who are interested in interdisciplinary work in fields including environmental science, sociology and public health, are highly encouraged to apply. Spanish language proficiency is highly regarded but not required.
SOMOS will be holding an interest meeting on Wednesday, February 8th, at 8pm in Blow 332.The application is due Wednesday, February 15th at midnight, and will be made available following the interest meeting.
