www.TransitionsAbroad.com, the website born of Transitions Abroad Publishing, Inc.--which was founded in 1977 by NAFSA award-winning study abroad advisor Dr. Clayton Hubbs--is hosting its 2012 Student Writing Contest. All enrolled undergraduate and graduate students, students who have graduated within the past year, and students currently on leave from school are eligible to participate.

Our contest is unique in covering a gamut of topics including educational student travel, volunteering, internships, short-term work, and traditional study abroad via U.S.-based programs as well as direct enrollment in foreign institutions.

For this year's contest, the winning student submission will be awarded $500, the second place winner will be awarded $150, the third place winner will be awarded $100, and runner-up winners $50. In addition, all winners will be featured in the May Webzine dedicated to study abroad and educational travel.

The contest deadline is April 15, 2012 with no entry fee. Winners will be notified on, or about, May 1, 2012 for publication on, or about, May 15, 2012.
