[PAST EVENT] International Student Hiking Trip to Crabtree Falls
March 24, 2012
7am - 7pm
Location
Location not specified
Spring is here, and it's time to get outside and enjoy the weather. To celebrate the season, we have a great trip planned for this Saturday: we are headed to Crabtree Falls in the George Washington National Park for some hiking, fresh air and relaxation. If you're ready for a break from Williamsburg, be sure to sign up for this trip!
GW Park is located about 3 hours from Williamsburg, and we will leave from Reves around 7 am. We should arrive around 10 am, and we plan on hiking for about 4-5 hours. We'll stop for some food on the way back to Williamsburg, and we should return to W&M around 7 pm. It'll be a long day, but we will take plenty of time to enjoy the view and the mountains. Reves will provide snacks for the hike, but you'll definitely want to bring water and additional snacks for the ride there and back.
This trip includes strenuous physical activity. If you have heart problems, altitude sickness or asthma, do not sign up for this trip. We will be hiking on the Appalachian Trail, and the grade can be steep. It can be difficult for those not accustomed to intense exercise.
The cost of this trip is $10 and needs to be paid to the Bursar's Office before Friday. Once you reserve a spot, Wendy will email you with more information about how to pay the fee. You can reserve a spot by e-mailing Wendy Couch at globe@wm.edu.
Spaces are extremely limited, and available on a first-come, first-serve basis!
