Location

Optional Practical Training (OPT) is a form of work authorization granted to F-1 (I-20 students). OPT allows you to work in your major, anywhere in the U.S., for 12 months after graduation.
If you are graduating this Spring and would like to work in the US after you graduate, you will need to apply for OPT. It usually takes 3 months or more for approval, so we recommend applying soon!
You are required to attend an OPT Information Session before applying for OPT.
?    We will be holding a special OPT session for Business students on Friday, February 10, 12:30pm ? 1:30pm at the Business School, Room XX.
?    If you are unable to attend the above session, please see our schedule online for a complete list of session dates and times.
IMPORTANT! Please read the following information carefully:
1. Prior to the session, print out or download the OPT Application Packet from our website. We will provide instructions on how to complete the forms in the packet at the session.
2. Apply early for OPT, so you can work in the US after graduation (it usually takes 3 months or more to be approved). For Spring graduates, the earliest that you can make an appointment for your OPT application is February 13, 2017.
