[PAST EVENT] Latke versus Hamentashen Debate
Location

A long time tradition at universities across the country, Hillel is hosting W&M's first ever Latke vs. Hamentash debate! Come hear Rabbi David and Rabbi Litt debate the most important question the Jewish people have ever faced, with Professor Marc Raphael as moderator.
Latkes are fried potato pancakes eaten during the holiday of Hanukkah, and hamentaschen are jam/poppyseed/chocolate filled cookies eaten during the holiday of Purim. We'll be serving both foods after the debate (free with a ticket) so you can give us your opinion.
Tickets are a suggested donation of $5 (but you can give more!). All proceeds are going to HIAS, a refugee aid and advocacy organization. Learn more about the important work done by HIAS on their website, http://www.hias.org/.
