Professor Davis is Associate Professor of Cultural Anthropology in the Center for Contemporary Arab Studies at Georgetown University?s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service. She is the author of Palestinian Village Histories: Geographies of the Displaced (Stanford, 2011), a co-winner of the Middle East Studies Association?s Albert Hourani Book Award. Currently, Prof. Davis is writing a book about the conceptions of culture in the U.S. military?s role in Iraq.
