Hood Feminism by Mikki Kendall

Join Natoya Haskins, director of diversity and inclusion in the School of Education, for a discussion of the book Hood Feminism: Notes from the Women that a Movement Forgot by Mikki Kendall.

A New York Times bestseller and named "one of the most important books of the current moment" by Time Magazine, Hood Feminism is a collection of essays that takes aim at the legitimacy of the modern feminist movement, arguing that it has chronically failed to address the needs of all but a few women. Ibram Kendi called it “a brutally candid and unobstructed portrait of mainstream white feminism.”

Our discussion on April 14 will be an informal conversation. All faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends of the School of Education are invited to join us for an engaging hour of discussion and connection.
