November 15-19, 2021 is the second annual William & Mary Education Week. We take this opportunity to celebrate the people, projects and ideas that are driving the future of education. We'll be highlighting alumni teachers and educational leaders, as well as the students who will become the next generation of educators. This year, we're offering a range of in-person and virtual opportunities to connect and learn with fellow educators.
Our 2021 theme is Championing Equitable Learning Environments.
Highlights include:
- A virtual Courageous Conversation about the future of equity in our educational institutions will kick off the week.
- We're encouraging students, faculty and staff to Take Ten during a series of afternoon activities designed to de-stress and make connections.
- Dr. Elizabeth Talbott will present her research during our Faculty Research Brown Bag Talk.
- Dr. Jorge Burmicky will discuss the future of leadership in higher education during the Higher Education Salon.
- The 2021 Hornsby Lecture will feature Dr. Howard E. Fields III for a discussion about educational equity.
