[PAST EVENT] Discovery Lab - Bottom of the Bay
Location
Online via FacebookAccess & Features
- Open to the public
For our August Discovery Lab program, Cristin Wright, a graduate student in the Coastal Hydrodynamics and Sediment Dynamics Lab at VIMS, will help us explore the Bottom of the Bay. She will teach us about the different plants and animals that live in and on the bottom (known as the benthic habitat), what the bottom is made of, how she studies the benthic environment, and why understanding what happens at the bottom of the bay is so important.
This Discovery Lab is intended for all ages and will include a pre-recorded talk by Cristin posted on the CBNERR Facebook page. There will also be resources posted that you can use to further your learning at home. Cristin and CBNERR educators will be available to answer questions via the comments section on the CBNERR Facebook page from 6-7:00 pm.
