[PAST EVENT] Fisheries Resource Grant Funding Workshop

Virginia Institute of Marine Science Marine Extension Program will host two workshops to help watermen and aquaculturists put together applications for 2012 Fisheries Resource Grant funding.
The first workshop will be held Wednesday, December 14, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Director's Conference Room at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science at Gloucester Point, Va. A second workshop will be held at the Eastern Shore Community College in Melfa, Va., in classroom 150 on Thursday, December 15, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
No registration is necessary to attend either workshop.
Funding may be used to develop (1) new equipment and gear, (2) environmental pilot studies, (3) aquaculture or mariculture advances, and (4) seafood technology. Qualified applications must involve members of the commercial seafood industry.
The Request for Proposal and application materials are available on the web at {{http://www.vims.edu/adv/frg}}. Individuals without web access can contact Dianne Roberts at 804-684-7173.
All final grant applications must be postmarked no later than January 13, 2012, at 5:00 p.m.
