When we spend summer days at a beach, we often don?t think of all the plants and animals living in and on the sand around us. Coastal beaches provide a habitat for a wide variety of species, from ancient horseshoe crabs, to shorebirds, and even human beings! Join Terri Kirby Hathaway, NC Sea Grant extension at NC State University, as she describes the types of organisms commonly found on East Coast beaches during summer. Lab activities will include a beachcombing simulation where everyone will be able to find a shell or souvenir to bring home!

Registration is now open. Click here to reserve your spot.
