The Delmarva Peninsula is characterized by a sequence of seaside coastal bays, with a general decline in nitrogen loading and increase in water quality from the north to the south. While Virginia?s bays are generally characterized by low nutrient inputs and good water quality, they remain vulnerable to land-based activities and the services they provide depend on continued high quality water. Join Dr. Mark Brush, Associate Professor of Marine Science, VIMS, as he presents his research to quantify nitrogen loading to the Delmarva coastal bays as a function of land-based activities and understand potential bay responses to increasing inputs.
There is no charge for this presentation. Seating limited to 60 people.
